Connecting Shelter Dogs with Nature and Compassionate Humans Tails of the Trail® is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers animal lovers to support shelter dogs through outdoor adventures. We along with our volunteers connect with local animal shelters to organize therapeutic hikes, nature walks, and adoption-friendly events that give rescue dogs a break from the kennel and a chance to shine. Founded in 2015, Tails of the Trail has grown into a compassionate movement with a single mission: to increase dog adoption rates, reduce shelter stress, and build stronger communities through dog-friendly outdoor experiences.
